Treatment for baldness: FAQ
When can the rate of hair loss be considered normal?
Due to the natural life cycle of hair, hair loss is a natural phenomenon to a certain extent, as hair strands fall out during the final stage of their life cycle. However, if you lose more than around 100 strands a day, you may be experiencing some form of abnormal hair loss.
The concept of ‘normal’ means something different to everyone, so the extent of your hair loss should be assessed in relation to your individual circumstances and past experiences, as you know how your own body works best. It’s important to focus on your own results and not measure yourself against other people’s expectations. It may be that those around you think there is nothing wrong with the condition of your hair, but you used to have a much fuller head of hair which you would like to regain, so it is always worth seeking help if you are experiencing hair loss.

Could there be several underlying causes of hair loss?
Although certain types of hair loss, such as male-pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia), can occur on their own, it is possible that other types of hair loss may also occur alongside them; such as temporary hair loss, which can occur, for example, during times of stress or illness. Each type of hair loss has its own typical signs and diagnostic features, so trichological diagnosis can determine the causes and type of hair loss.
If it is confirmed that you are experiencing more than one type of hair loss at the same time, treating them in combination may yield the desired result. A comprehensive examination is particularly important if there is a suspicion that a complex underlying medical condition is involved.

Is a blood test required before Denza treatment?
Diagnosing hair loss is often a complex process, as several underlying causes may be present simultaneously. In certain cases, specialised laboratory tests may also be required; the trichologist will always make a recommendation regarding this following the initial assessment, during the first consultation. By combining our modern technological tools with medical expertise, we provide personalised solutions right from the diagnostic stage, which, by taking all factors into account, can help ensure the best possible results.
How do you determine which package I need?
Through six years of research and three years of clinical experience, we have gained in-depth scientific knowledge that has enabled us to determine the optimal number of treatments and to develop personalised treatment packages. During the assessment, we use precise diagnostic procedures to determine how many treatments are required to achieve long-term and sustainable results.
By analysing more than 20 risk factors, we gain an accurate picture of the cause, progression and expected extent of hair loss. Based on an evaluation of these results, we determine which treatment package is best suited to you to achieve maximum results.
Denza More & Better Hair packages:
Denza Booster: Recommended for those seeking a preventative approach who wish to maintain the health and beauty of their hair whilst not currently at risk of hair loss.

Could the Denza treatment damage my existing hair?
No, the laser used in Denza treatments does not detect the pigment in the hair. The energy is absorbed exclusively by the water in the skin, so damage to the hair is completely ruled out. If you experience hair loss after the treatment, this is likely to be the accelerated shedding of hairs that were already in the resting phase and due to fall out. This is the body’s way of preparing to grow new, healthy and strong hair.
Can the Denza hair treatment increase my hair loss?
Our hair is constantly going through the different phases of the growth cycle. The aim of the Denza treatment is to increase the number of hairs in the active growth phase and to maintain this phase for as long as possible. The laser treatments used as part of the Denza protocol can help hair in the shedding phase to be shed more easily through the hair follicle’s exit openings.
If you experience increased hair shedding following the first few treatments, there is no need to worry; this simply indicates the natural shedding of hairs in the shedding phase. This is a positive process which allows the valuable hairs in the growth phase to take the place of those in the shedding phase as quickly as possible, thereby making your hair look fuller.
